AFC Rushden & Diamonds and AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth are proud to support Wilson Disease Awareness Group for the next two seasons until 2018.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds first team are displaying the logo on the shorts and all the Youth players have the logo on the sleeve of their kit in order to raise awareness of this life changing disease.

The Wilson’s Disease Support Group - UK (WDSG-UK) is an all volunteer organisation which strives to promote the wellbeing of patients with Wilson’s disease, their families and friends.
One of our own Youth players (Sam Jordan Fitzgerald) was diagnosed with this life threatening illness in 2014, which has left him confined to a wheelchair and severely disabled.
Wilson's Disease is a rare genetic disorder that is fatal unless detected and treated before serious illness develops from copper poisoning. Wilson's Disease affects about one in thirty thousand people worldwide. For more information please visit the official site
