The bangladeshi charity LEEDO helps the children on Dhaka’s streets.
The Transitional Shelter offers space for street connected children. For many children this is the first and only possibility to take a deep breath away from the dangerous streets. In the shelter the often traumatized children receive a warm meal, new clothing and a place to sleep.
In a first step LEEDO tries to locate the family and - if possible - to reunite the lost child with their families. If the family cannot be located the children are accepted into LEEDO's orphanage ‘Peace Home’ or referred to a suitable organization.

Due to the Corona Virus, the financing of the desperately needed Transitional Shelter is not certain. Every Month approx. 1.350£ (1.500€) are needed to run the shelter (incl. rent, food, clothing, caretakers etc.). In order to secure the operation of the Transitional Shelter for at least another 3 months LEEDO requires 4.000£ (4.500€) now.
The British organization Friends of Street Children Bangladesh has worked with LEEDO for many years. 100% of the donations collected in this campaign will be transferred directly to LEEDO. The Friends of Street Children Bangladesh explicitly do not finance administrative costs.
Every donation helps directly to make LEEDO’s support for street children possible!
