Just because something is invisible that doesn't not mean it has no impact. All over Shropshire, everyday children and their families face the challenge of battling the invisible effects of growing up with a hidden disability and the reaction of those around them. It is frightening, it is isolating, it is not the formula for a happy family life or childhood and it not only impacts on those with difficulties but also their siblings and all those who love them.
Empathy is about breaking down barriers, providing opportunities and proving to families are not alone and our fab little organisation is 5 years old this year. As a founding member of Empathy for special children and a parent of just such children, I know only too well the bravery and resilience it takes to keep faces those challenges day, after day, after day. So to acknowledge the constant challenges they face, I will complete a challenge a month for the next 12 months. See the full list on http://empathyforasd.org/fundraising/ You may read the list and think, well that's not very challenging and to be honest that's the point .... they are challenging for me ! and I'm asking you empathise with the effort and the families and donate.
I'd be really grateful for anything you can donate to support our fab little charity and one off donations will be very gratefully received but if anyone can donate a little every month that would be ace
Just £1 / month for 12 months will keep these kids in your mind ( even if it's only when you check your bank statement ) for a whole year and that way, maybe, we can start to make a difference in the long term. If you like to donate regularly then please follow the link https://www.goldengiving.com/secure/direct-debit/create/empathy
However you support us THANK YOU xxx
