Hi, we’re Sam & Jason - muscle warriors & fitness enthusiasts.
2021 is the Muscle Help Foundation's (MHF) 18th birthday! To help celebrate, we thought we’d give something special a go... Together we are taking on our own 70.3 Ironman triathlon to raise money for MHF. What better way to mark a big birthday than to Go BIG!
Whilst we are both big fitness enthusiasts this challenge is like no other. Ironman triathlons are known as some of the hardest endurance events on the planet. It consists of a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle & 21.1km run in one day.
To make this even more exciting, we’ve decided to take on this just ONE MONTH before our wedding day. So whilst that could be great for making sure we’re in shape for the big day, let’s hope neither one of us ends up decorating crutches as part of our outfit!
We’ve supported Muscle Help Foundation for 6 years now, covering a range of the muscle dreams! One thing shines through all our time working with Michael (Chief Muscle Warrior), Sue (The real chief!) & all the other muscle warriors - it’s amazing what can bring a smile to someone’s face. So many of us are so fortunate with what we have been gifted in life - we’ve decided we want to use the gift that is our physically fit & capable bodies to the max! Every beneficiary we have worked with has been touched by the work MHF delivers to them. That’s why our goal is to raise as much as we can to get the charity to its target of 657 dreams for beneficiaries. (They’re almost halfway to this goal!)
So from now on, we are going to be stronger together as the Iron Couple. You can follow us on Instagram @IronCouple657 & tag us if you ever see us out training: #IC657. We’re going to capture it all: the fun & laughter, tears & tantrums, successes & failures, all with the hope that come race day we will kick-butt & complete our BIG challenge in one piece.
Please support us! We will need every single bit of it.
