I am a 64 year old amateur endurance cyclist who knows every lane and every decent breakfast venue within 80 miles of my home on the West Berkshire Downs. Previous exploits have included the South Downs Way in a day and ‘Le Jog’ (Land’s End to John O’Groats), Berkshire to Venice, Venice to Mount Etna, Lisbon to Valencia, Ljubljana to Dubrovnik, Ljubljana to Verona and Berkshire to Bilbao all in 7 days. Many of my trips have raised funds for various causes and I'm happy to support the Mali Development Group as well as I can.
The Mali Development Group (MDG) raises money to support social, health, economic, and political development in Mali, West Africa. The work is done by Malians for Malians, using methods that involve local people and are rooted in local communities. Our partners work in Bamako, the capital city and in remote rural areas in the South of the country.
We also offer practical and technical support to our partners, using the skills of our members and building on 20 years of developed relationships.
