I'm fundraising for a Media Centre in Jinja, to support the brilliant Notivate Uganda!

Here's a short video about their amazing work:
...and here's an example of one of their music videos:

Please help me raise £5,000 before my next birthday (18th December) - that's the equivalent of £100 for each year of my life :)

I've added some information, below, in case you want to know more about Notivate Uganda.

Thank you for anything you can give!

The Notivate Trust is a UK-based charity that works with young people through songwriting and video making programmes, with the focus on building their confidence and allowing them to express their feelings and concerns.

Since 2012, the Trust has been working in Jinja, Uganda, in partnership with The Discovery Centre, giving children from many schools and orphanages the opportunity to express themselves through music and video production. Training and support for local staff continues to ensure that the quality of the production in Uganda is of the highest standard.

Funds are now being raised to equip the newly-built Media Centre, so the Notivate Uganda team will have a permanent location to work from. This will enable the two teams to run projects featuring young people from both Uganda and the U.K. in groundbreaking international collaborations.

About the good cause

The Notivate Trust The Notivate Trust

Motivating Children Through Music

“The Notivate Trust exists to inspire, support and encourage children and young people through music, by providing them with teachers, resources and opportunities that enable them to explore, develop and achieve their God-given potential in a suitable environment with people they can trust.”

Every child that participates in a Notivate project will:

  1. Gain new experiences and the freedom to express themselves.
  2. Build respectful and trusting relationships with colleagues and leaders.
  3. Learn new skills and explore their own abilities through creative activities.
  4. Acknowledge, celebrate and defend their own and their colleagues’ excellence.
  5. Feel nervous, excited, confident, proud, satisfied and safe.
