Moira Jones was murdered in Queen's Park in Glasgow in 2008. Funds like the Moira Fund have not had the usual income to support people who have lost loved ones, due to COVID-19. To stay fit we have been walking throughout lockdown, and wanted to help out! After watching the BBC documentary last month (The Dark Side of Murder), we decided to raise funds for The Moira Fund. Funds are used to support families in practical and emotional ways such as a weekend away for a bereaved family, which they otherwise could not afford.
Please support us, every little helps!
P.S. Our walk will be taking into account the Covid 19 regulations such as walking in pairs and social distancing
The Moira Fund is a fundraising grant-giving charity set up to help
those struggling financially as well as emotionally to cope with the
loss of a loved one through murder. It helps those families referred to
them by the police or homicide support services.
