As part of 'MSI month', three member law firms are joining together to cycle continuously for 45 their boardrooms... on a Monday!

Lee Bolton Monier Williams (London), Schmidt Brunet Litzler (Paris) and Magnus Legal (Stavanger, Norway) will each be keeping two exercise bikes in their offices constantly pedaling for 7 and a half hours from 930 am to 5pm. Hopefully, many members of staff will take turns riding throughout the day. We will try and fit some work in too.

We hope to raise a significant amount of money for the UK based charity 'SWATS' (Supporting West Africa Through Schooling). This charity specifically supports the running of Evans Primary School in Sierra Leone.

This is a small charity with no overheads and very little income. So, all money raised will directly impact the lives of the 120 pupils at Evans Primary. £500 pays for a teacher for a year. £100 covers the cost of a child's education for a year. £300 will pay for all school meals for all pupils for a month. The trustees hope to be able to build up a surplus to enable them to purchase some next door land to erect a more robust structure. You can see how donations will make a demonstrable difference to lives. Thank you so much for your support.

About the good cause

SWATS is a UK registered charity that aims to create educational opportunity for some of the most vulnerable children in West Africa. Our focus is on Sierra Leone, a country with a 40% adult literacy rate. We've set up the Evans Primary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone where 7 staff members educate 92 pupils through primary school and beyond. Many of these pupils are orphans who have been adopted by families in the local community and who, without this school, would not receive a free education.
