After watching Newsround with my children we were chatting about how we could help Afghan refugees in any way at all, we were discussing maybe a joint sponsored event, but they quickly decided they all wanted to do their own challenge of a personal goal or passion they have. They will be doing their events over the next few weeks (need a good dry day for Betsy's mountain climb!)

All donations will be going to the Action Foundation who are
an award-winning charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne providing support to disadvantaged refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants across Tyne and Wear.

 Challenges and Dates

Betsy (10) is going to climb Helm Crag! October 2021
Daisy (8) is going to dance for 2 hours! Sunday 29th August 2021
Tilly (5) is going to complete a golf challenge! Wednesday 8th September 2021 @ 4PM

Tilly: "This seems so fun and we will give the money to people who have come and need things like a house. They will be happy and I will be happy and great for them"

Daisy: "I am going to dance for 2 hours in my kitchen to raise money for people who are not safe in their country, and to make them feel so welcome in their new home when they get here"

Betsy: "I am going to climb a mountain with my dad, I hope we can raise lots of money to help refugee children and grown ups. People can't help where they are born and this could have been you or me. How would you feel if it happened to you or your family? We need to help them. I have always wanted to climb a mountain and its even better now that I am doing it for such a good reason"
