About

On 27th December 2015, as the Christmas pudding settles and everyone gears up for the New Year festivities, a group of 15 adventurers will head out to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro with 15 young Kenyan students. The challenge of climbing the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895m, where there's only half as much oxygen in the air at the summit as at sea level, will be considerable. But this trek also provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for the young Kenyan students to develop their leadership skills and an experience that will encourage them to persue their ambitions and aspirations - and we'll establish a mentoring programme in Nairobi afterwards so the students can find secure employment or set up their own ventures.

Your support will give the young Kenyans this opportunity and a chance to escape poverty once and for all.

We’re serious about unlocking potential in people – wherever they happen to live – because
talent is universal but opportunity isn’t. Together we can do something about that.  Thanks to people like you, the problem that  “we are too poor to afford education” is being solved. Right now there are 62 bright young people from the poorest parts of Kenya in secondary school reaching their full potential.
