"Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me."

In this lovely feel good movie, Elwood P.Dowd (James Stewart) is a wealthy, affable drunk has visions of a giant rabbit called Harvey. As his sister tries to get him committed to an institution it triggers a comedy of errors. Elwood and Harvey become the catalysts for a family mending its wounds and for romance blossoming in unexpected places. Also stars Harvey ... as Harvey.
