Capture and manage offline donations, such as donations made in cash, cheque, bank transfer, standing order, in kind and in time. Offline donations will appear on donation lists. You can accept contactless card donations from your supporters, in the same way you make contactless card payments for shopping items less or equal to £30. Contactless donations can be captured at any location, such as a charity event, the shopping centre or a place of work. Supporters can register their full details against a contactless donation, enabling seamless end to end supporter engagement. Download a direct debit report. The direct debit report lists direct debits that are setup for your organisation and includes supporters details, where the supporter has requested for their details to be shared. Direct debits are currently taken every month.

You can tag donations. Donation tagging is a way to track where donations have originated. For example, you can embed Golden Giving donation links on different pages of your website, each individually tagged to describe the originating page. You can then download donation reports and analyse the most popular links supporters used to make donations. You can then use this information to optimise your donation link placements.
Download management reports including donation, raffle, membership, ticket, payment and income reports. Use report quick links to quickly access common reports, such as members renewing within the next one or two weeks, or tickets purchased over the past one or two weeks.
Understand supporter, donor and fundraising activity in real-time using the dashboard. View graphs of donations, memberships, tickets and raffle counts and purchases over time. Graph options include a line, column, stacked column, area, stacked area and percentage graph. Graphs can be downloaded as an image or PDF.

Track the supporter journey more clearly and communicate with them in ways that will deepen the relationship and retain them longer. Supporter relationship management (SRM) provides a single view of charity supporters.
Use appeals to inform your supporters of specific areas of funding need and capture single donations for the specific need. Research shows that appeals have a greater impact over a simple donation button, in obtaining donations from supporters. Appeals will appear on your Golden Giving home page and on a dedicated appeals page. You can also use the appeals widget to display appeals on your organisations website.
Strengthen and promote your organisations brand and engage supporter interest, with the wall. The wall is similar to a Facebook or Pinterest homepage. The wall displays a single chronological view of your organisations donations, fundraising pages, memberships and events. High value donations and fundraising pages reaching their fundraising target are highlighted, images and YouTube videos are displayed where available on individual and team fundraising pages, as well as event and membership pages. Link to your organisations wall from your organisations home page, or distribute your organisations wall address through Twitter or Facebook.
Messages are used to tailor generic supporter communications by including custom organisation messages. Custom messages can be included when, for example, supporters purchase event tickets, raffle tickets, memberships and make donations. A single campaign message can also be set that will appear on the charity home page, wall, donation, event, membership and raffle pages. An appeal message can be set to custsomize the dedicated appeals page.
Strengthen and promote your organisations brand with a free theme. A theme changes the look and feel of your pages, to match or compliment your own organisations brand. Themes can be applied to dedicated charity pages, dedicated single and regular donation pages, fundraising pages, team fundraising pages, event pages, raffle pages and membership pages.
Get feedback from your supporters with questions and answers. Ask questions of your supporters after they have made a ticket purchase, donation or any other payment transaction in order to support the purchase (e.g. 'Do you want the vegetarian option with your meal?' or 'Enter your email address to join our mailing list?').

QR codes are used to connect the physical world with the virtual world. A QR code is a bar code that can be scanned by a mobile phone, and that links to one of your pages, meaning that your supporters do not have to enter a web page link to get to, for example, your donation page or event page. QR codes are placed on advertising, such as an event flyer.
QR codes are available for the donation pages, compare and choose page, wall, event pages, membership pages, raffle pages and appeals page.
The technology advice section lists recommended software, websites and technologies that your organisation can use to support day to day business operations. The recommended software are all open source projects, that are offered free of charge, but are still supported and developed by the open source community. The recommended websites all provide free community portals. The recommended technologies are all based on open industry standards.
