The Stephen Carey Fund was officially formed in 2013 following the tragic death
of Stephen Carey, a man of 21 who died suddenly with an undiagnosed heart
condition, whilst playing football for his local football team. His friends and
family set up the fund with the goal of improving life saving skills and
equipment throughout the region. The funds main goals are to install Public
Access Defibrillators (PADs) across the region and provide community
organisations with first aid kits and appropriate training.
