The National Communities Resource Centre empowers people to tackle local issues,
take control and overcome issues of disadvantage. The training and support we
provide equips people with the knowledge, confidence and resources needed to
help improve the livelihood and wellbeing of themselves and others in their
community. The focus of our work is on: • Tenant Empowerment – We deliver
training for Housing Associations and Local Authority tenants aiming to develop
their ability to scrutinise their landlord and work collaboratively to tackle
local issues. • Community Action – The training we deliver equips activists with
the skills and knowledge to advise members of their community around themes such
as health, wellbeing, finance, energy and environmental sustainability. •
Supporting Young People - We deliver a training programme for disadvantaged
young people (aged 18-25), helping them to build confidence, learn vital
employability skills, raise aspirations and make strides towards brighter
futures. • Supporting Families – Our residential programme provides a supportive
environment for families to overcome issues of hardship and disadvantage by
working together to strengthen relationships, communication and routine.
